Your Counselling Team

Leia Newland is a compassionate and dedicated professional who is adept at creating a safe and non-judgmental space for all. She is trained in trauma-informed care, recognizing the profound impact that trauma can have on individuals and working sensitively to address their needs. In addition to trauma, Leia has experience working with ADHD, depression, anxiety, life transitions, sex therapy, disability, addiction and more.

Leia's approach is deeply rooted in collaboration and empowerment. She thinks systemically about her clients' contexts, recognizing the interconnectedness of their experiences and environments. By working together with her clients, Leia helps them to identify their strengths and resources, empowering them to find solutions that are tailored to their unique circumstances and goals.

Havila Is a yellow lab who works as a guide dog for Leia. Her education through Guide Dog’s for the blind allows her to guide Leia safely to and from work, and to sit calmly through the counselling sessions her handler provides.
